If that’s the case, Macy Gray’s Talking Book- a full-length cover of one of Stevie Wonder’s most famous albums of the same name- is surely the highest form of praise. In fact, rather than imitating, Macy has aimed to put her own spin on the 70s funk-pop classics. She's called it a love letter to Stevie on the 40th anniversary of this iconic Motown record.

In Macy Gray’s first tour of Australia in twelve years - her last when On How Life Is made her a household name - a sold out crowd at the Sydney Opera House on Sunday night proved that this was a tour that fans had indeed been holding out for for a long time.

ROOTS NIGHT 3 AT THE GOVERNOR HINDMARSH!
