There's a whole heap of gigs to keep you satisfied throughout the end of February and into March. So make sure you save up your pennies because you don't want to be sitting at home eating cold pizza and watching re-runs of Jersey Shore when these shows come into town.

An enthusiastic all-ages audience crams the Gov for a night of Aussie hip-hop with Illy and M-Phazes. Sietta and Spit Syndicate are solid supports.

This October, Illy hits the road for his biggest tour yet. With relentless live shows and two acclaimed albums under his belt, the emcee has well and truly earned his place as one of our of country’s top hip hop artists. With Sydney’s Spit Syndicate and Darwin’s Sietta joining the bill, and ARIA Award winning producer M-Phazes as host, this tour is the perfect follow-up to the 21 date (mostly sold out) album tour last March.

After some hassles of getting in, (always the way in small town venues), which resulted in possibly a few too many rounds of beer, I was finally able to enjoy some fine aussie hip-hop. Not usually the type of music I choose to listen to, nor attend live, but this was a special occasion and to kick off the night I was treated to plasticmoney, a hip hop artist who originated on the NSW south coast and was back tonight to stamp his signature tunes on the town.

“Illy's natural flow, incredible hooks and onstage presence instantly brought an eager audience to the front of the room… his sold out gig delivered everything expected, and just a little more.” - Junior
