Live Review: Jordie Lane + Liz Stringer + Ryan Nico - Northcote Social Club (29.11.12)

When I first heard that Ryan Nico was the first act of the night, I immediately thought of Neko Case. Which turned out not just to be a similarity in name as Ryan said himself, ‘she is a great influence on me, and is also my spirit animal’. Spirit animals aside, she is clearly not the only influence of this lad. There are a wide range of influences at play that lead to a feel of déjà vu through out the set. Almost like seeing someone you went to primary school with that you can’t quite remember, but still feel you know.

Jordie Lane announces tour and features on iTunes.

Jordie Lane’s new single ‘Fool For Love’ has been announced as the ITunes ‘Single of the Week’. The song is available for a free download (in Australia and New Zealand). Lane will be touring to support his single with special guests Liz Stringer, Jackson McLaren and Ruby Boots and various shows.
