Live Review: Little Dragon - Sydney Opera House (05.02.14)

The last time Swedish electro-poppers Little Dragon headlined a show in Sydney it was at Oxford Art Factory and it completely sold out faster than expected. Demand for this diverse quartet doesn't seem to ever drop below a certain level in Australia so when they were announced as part of this year's Laneway Festival you can be sure they were on just about everyone's must-see list. Their popularity makes complete sense when you see them live, with a frontwoman like the divine Yukimi Nagano whose theatrical stage presence is spellbinding amongst the strobing lights and lively backdrop, as she adorably dances around the stage while Fredrik Wallin, Håkan Wirenstrand, and Erik Bodin construct the instrumentals.

With a line up boasting some of the best names in music in the moment, I was so excited to get down there and check the festival out; I hadn't been as excited for a festival as I was for this one in quite a while.
