There are three types of experiences when you listen to a record for the first time. One, when you know and love the artist and this is their new release. Two, when you haven't heard anything from the band before. Three, when you’ve only heard the band live, and this is the first time you've heard them on record. The experience for Lights’ Siberia, for me was the third. I witnessed Lights putting on a stellar show supporting The Jezabels not a week previous to picking up this record. I was hoping for greatness, and greatness is what I received.

This is what success looks like. Witness Sydney kids The Jezabels returning home to a heroes welcome, selling out the massive Hordern Pavilion (that's 5,500 people!) - with Canada's Lights and Melbourne's Snakadaktal (not pictured) in tote. Mikki Gomez brings us photos from the night.

The Jezabels national tour hit the Brisbane Convention Centre, with a little help from Canadian electro rock sensation LIGHTS and Melbourne's triple j Unearthed High darlings Snakadaktal.

It was a huge year for The Jezabels in 2011 and today they have announced their most ambitious tour to date! When can you catch them with LIGHTS and Snakadaktal? Find out here!
