Live Review: Progfest- The Zoo, Brisbane (23.08.14)

Progfest is the annual Australian music festival that showcases Australia's underground progressive music bands. In the past having played host to headlining bands such as melodic Melbourne metallers Sydonia, instrumental rock giants sleepmakeswaves and recently-announced-for-this-years-Soundwaves Ne Obliviscaris, it's a hotbed of talent and our very own Matthew Evans was there to capture the first leg at the Zoo in Brisbane.

As this year's annual Progfest starts to appear in the nearer pages of our diaries, we sat down with one of the bands hitting the Brisbane leg of the progressive music festival, LeSuits. With vocalist and guitarist Ben Mackay fielding the questions, we find out a bit about their varied history, what progressive music means to them and putting some ridiculousness back into music.

The 'Creepshow Halloween Festival' is set to take over the Espy!

The Espy will become the scariest it’s ever been on October 26th for the Creepshow Halloween Festival. Musicians, DJs and burlesque dancers won’t be skimping out on the festive spirit – they’ll all be performing in Halloween costumes. The night will feature performances from Sydonia, Engine, Gay Paris, Chaos Divine and more. A prize will be awarded to the best dressed on the night – so be sure to go all out!
