What was originally named The Snowy Mountains of Music Festival has now changed its name to Peak Festival and has announced a stellar line up of artists. The first big headlining act to appear at Peak Festival is Aussie hip-hop group, The Herd!

It's an intimate space which has already had artists like Lanie Lane grace its stage, and embraces you with free pizza on arrival. Brilliant! When I was approached by Tourism NSW to take on the duty of “Music and Culture Ambassador” for the blog-o-sphere, I don’t think I hesitated a second. Those that follow the website will probably notice that travelling for music is something I love to do. From heading to SXSW in Austin, CMW in Toronto and the WAMis in Perth - I’ll take any excuse to jump on a plane and see the world. Little did I know, however, that saying yes to this particular endeavour would see me jumping OUT of a plane... but more on that later.
