Kings of Leon, Outkast and Eminem joined by ten Australian bands for Lollapallooza 2014!

Who wants to go to Chicago? Well, with today’s massive Lollapalooza announcement, we certainly do. Headlining the three day event – now in its 10th year and already sold out by the time we write this article – are Eminem, Outkast and Kings of Leon alongside names like Arctic Monkeys, Skrillex, Calvin Harris and Foster The People.

Joining them are a massive TEN Australian bands, and New Zealand’s success story Lorde. They are: John Butler Trio, Cut Copy, Flume, The Temper Trap, Iggy Azalea, Courtney Barnett, Vance Joy, Jagwar Ma, Betty Who and Anna Lunoe.

The increased interest in Australian bands comes as little surprise given C3 Presents’ involvement in the Big Day Out. Let’s just say that leaves their ears a lot more open to music from our side of the world.

If you can’t make the event, they’ll be live streaming it online… and given past years, some of these bands will be playing Splendour in the Grass, too! Though it’s a tight journey. The event takes place in Chicago, IL from August 1st to the 3rd, 2014.
