KINGS OF LEON

The Griswolds, The Preatures and more join Morrissey and The Killers on the 2015 Firefly Festival bill!

The line up for the popular Firely Festival has been released, with a swag of our favourite artists set to fly out to Delaware this June to play alongside some of the world's best live bands. A mysterious third headliner is blanked out on the festival poster, with many already speculating that Paul McCartney will take the spot - with his many appearances lately, it wouldn't be totally surprising. For now, we know that Kings of Leon and The Killers lead the top row, with the likes of Morrissey, Bastille, Foster the People, Modest Mouse and Snoop Dogg following hot on their heels.

Festival Review: Lollapalooza (Day Three) ft. Bleachers + Cage the Elephant + Flume + Kings of Leon - Grant Park, Chicago (03.08.14)

The gates opened for the final time at Grant Park today and by this stage, everyone was used to the heat. Sure, we sweated it out. But at this point, we were on the final round of Lolla and with only 11 hours to go, we were all in it for the long haul. The weather gods had other plans however, and soon the site was transformed into a muddy mess of a festival ground. No one cared though, if anything, it gave people even more of a reason to get loose.

It's Summer Up There! A Festival Guide on Lollapalooza 2014.

Rap god Eminem, will be joined by massive acts such as the reunited Outkast, Kings of Leon, Artic Monkeys and Lorde. The quality isn’t simply top heavy, with an array of impressive acts spreading all the way down the bill and even a few Australian acts will be flying the flag for us including Iggy Azalea, The Temper Trap, and Courtney Barnett.

Live Review: Kings of Leon + The Growl - Enmore Theatre, Sydney (20.11.13)

Kings Of Leon - Enmore Theatre

Mid way into The Growl’s opening set Cameron Avery waxed lyrical about being a 17 year old kid idolising Caleb Followill, adopting the flared jeans associated with the Followill clan throughout their early years. The story resonated with me, having gone out and bought myself a pair at the same time. I went and saw the boys at their last Big Day Out show in 2006 and finally destroyed those flares while they played Reading in 2007. Tonight though wasn’t an exercise in nostalgia. The Followill boys were fired up and ready to road test songs from their latest record.

The Festival Diaries: Austin City Limits (ACL) 2013 Day Two ft. The Cure + Kings of Leon - Zilker Park, Austin (05.10.13)

Having moved past the jetlag that delayed my first day of the annual Austin City Limits event, I kicked into the festival grounds early to catch Parquet Courts opening the second day, well ahead of the anticipated headline performances from The Cure and Kings of Leon.
