New York's largest music event, CMJ Music Marathon, officially opened registration for this year’s event. Last year included sets from headliners Local Natives, Ben Gibbard, Killer Mike, GZA, and Australia's own Kimbra (pipe down New Zealand!), plus performances from up-and-coming acts Icona Pop, Foxygen, and Savages.

the AU review sits down at SXSW Film Festival with director Daniel Garcia and animator Harry Teitelman to talk about their music video "Reagan" for the artist Killer Mike, which was in competition as part of the festival's Music Video program.

This year at SXSW, we're taking the time to chat to the directors of the clips officially selected as part of the music video series at the event. Today we hear from Daniel Garcia, the director of the popular Killer Mike video for "Reagan", which you can view above.

It's obvious why we had to wait so long for the music video to "Big Beast", the lead single from Killer Mike's critical success R.A.P Music. The video is more of a short film, inspired by this year's curious "zombie apocalypse" and Nicolas Winding Refn's crime film Drive.
