Usually shows starring a mentalist divide people into two categories. Those who are completely amped up and ready to be wooed and those who bear a smarmy smirk and 'I'll be the judge of what's impressive' attitude. If my quasi theory is correct then Keith Barry had a great challenge of exceeding the expectations of one group and convincing another that he is indeed impressive.
