Last Tuesday saw the annual tradition of the APRA Music Awards hit Sydney, a celebration of the Australian music which has made the biggest impact at home and around the globe over the past 12 months. Thanks to a special between Moshcam and APRA, the "Song of the Year" live performances were recorded and streamed, seeing the tracks covered by some of the nation's most talented musicians. Sheppard, Dan Sultan, 5SOS and Sia lead 2015 APRA Music Award nominations with multiple nods!

Today, the 2015 APRA Music Award nominees were announced, with some Australian songwriters emerging as particular hot contenders, nabbing multiple nominations. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the likes of Sia and 5 Seconds of Summer jumped off the page, both with three nominations to their name, while the Brisbane pop juggernaut that has become Sheppard lead the pack at four nom's.

The nominees for the 2015 APRA Music Awards were announced today, with the Sydney event set to celebrate some of the country's best at Carriageworks in March. The shortlisted artists for the prestigious Song Of The Year Award will be whittled down to five finalists, the winner of which will be announced at the ceremony on March 24th. Hosted by Brian Nankervis again this year, the event will also be joined by APRA Music Awards Director Robert Conley, who will be curating the live peformances on the night.

Kasey Chambers adds new dates to the 'Bittersweet Tour'!

Earlier in the year Australia’s country golden girl sadly had to postpone her 'Bittersweet Tour', but now comes the announcement that Kasey Chambers has added additional shows in Geelong, Melbourne and Newcastle in 2015.

Golden Guitars announce 2015 finalists!

Country music’s night of nights, The Golden Guitars will be held in Tamworth on 24 January 2015 and all the finalists have just been announced, with golden girl Kasey Chambers and acclaimed singer/songwriter Luke O’Shea heading up the list.

Kasey Chambers postpones entire 'Bittersweet Tour' until further notice due to health reasons.

Unfortunately for Kasey Chambers fans, she has had to cancel her 'Bittersweet Tour' entirely until further notice. The announcement comes today, with Chambers' diagnosis of small nodules and inflammation currently plaguing her vocals. Specialists have advised her to lessen her workload and focus on recovery, which includes cancelling the tour and her appearance at the Queenscliff Music Festival.

ARIA Award nominees and Fine Arts winners announced in Sydney today!

Winners and more nominees for the 2014 ARIA Awards were announced at the official event in Sydney this morning, with some of Australia's best performers and their teams recognised for their work over the past year. The winners of the Fine Arts and Artisan Awards were announced at the event, with the slew of nominees for the November ARIAs unveiled. the AU congratulates all involved - there have been some truly stellar records produced over the past year, as well as the development of some great live bands who are getting just recognition!

Beloved country music artist Kasey Chambers is taking backing up the three successful shows she's just played by announcing an extensive November/December tour for her new album Bittersweet! The album, which celebrates an impressive #2 ARIA Chart debut is Chambers' tenth, so that's something to celebrate in itself! Chambers is set to take endearing troubadour Kim Churchill on the road with her, so don't miss out on see these two take to a stage near you!
