For five years running now the Melbourne music community has come together over the Australia Day long weekend to generate much needed funds and awareness for The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, The Refugee Council and Oxfam, all in the name of celebrating our country’s diversity and fighting the ignorance that has at times blemished our national day.

Chinese-Australian MC and spoken word artist Joelistics (aka Joel Ma of TZU) and Filipino-Dutch-Australian producer/songwriter James Mangohig of Sietta combined with powerhouse vocalist Caiti Baker (Sietta) and the smooth-as DJ Soup for an epic show at The Lighthouse.

The 2014 Darwin Festival program was unveiled today, with the lineup representing the vibrant and diverse nature of the festival's surrounds for another year. Artistic Director Edwina Lunn departs the role this year and it's fairly evident that this year's Darwin Festival program is going to be one she'll remember for some time to come.

Single Stream: Joelistics "Say I'm Good" (2014)

On June 20th, Joelistics will release the much anticipated follow up record to his acclaimed debut Voyager, in Blue Volume. The record is already described as being 'melancholic and raucous', channelling some pretty raw emotions. New single "Say I'm Good" is a great example of this type of nature, with Joelistics coming together with the likes of Nostromo and Wil Wagner from The Smith Street Band in producing a piece of a fun, infectious music.
