Live Review: James Bay - Metro Theatre, Sydney (12.08.15)

On Wednesday night, award-winning singer/songwriter James Bay achieved a feat new musicians touring Australia all aim to accomplish, selling out the iconic Metro Theatre.

James Bay set for massive Australian return next January and February!

James Bay's star is one that has continued to rise within the Australian music loving community through 2015, especially with the release of his debut album Chaos and the Calm, hitting #3 on the Australian charts. With "Let It Go" and of course, "Hold Back the River", propelling Bay onto commercial radio stations around the country, it makes sense for the songwriter to come to Australia guns blazin' and next January and February will see the British troubadour do just that. Taking on his largest shows in Australia and his first ever show in New Zealand, Bay will build upon his brief visit earlier this year, showcasing Chaos and the Calm in full.

Single of the Day: James Bay "Hold Back The River (Miracle Remix)" (2015)

British singer-songwriter James Bay has witnessed his excellent single "Hold Back the River" spread it's soul across the world and it seems appropriate that one of Sydney's smoothest emcees grabs a hold of the tack with his own interpretation. Miracle has brought his melodic rhymes to the delicate song, spinning in some bouncy verses that works in harmony with Bay's crooning. Check it out below as our Single of the Day:

And you don’t sleep, at all” and told us which fellow SXSW artists she was sure to catch, including James Bay and James Vincent McMorrow: “I went to see James Vincent McMorrow. I melted. He was literally a metre away and it was amazing.”
