Music Matters LIVE Photo Gallery: K-Pop Night Out - Fountain Stage, Clarke Quay (21.05.15)

Hello Asia! headed along to Singapore to enjoy the annual K-Pop Night Out as part of Music Matters Live!. This year, the event focused less on K-Pop and more on the indie music coming out of the region, with electronic outfits IDIOTAPE and Glen Check shining at the event. Our six favourite discoveries Music Matters Live! 2015 in Singapore

Johnny Au and Larry Heath spent the last week covering the 10th annual music conference and festival Music Matters in Singapore, catching dozens of bands, a pile of talks and eating a whole heap of great food (of which no trip to the region would be complete without). Featuring over 70 bands from more than 12 countries, this event is very much positioned as an opportunity to discover new music from all over the world - and we certainly found a tonne of amazing new acts along the way. But here now, in no particular order, are the six acts that stood our for us the most....

Korean acts Sonamoo, IDIOTAPE, Glen Check and Kingston Rudieska to perform at Music Matters 2015

The K-Pop Night Out showcase at Music Matters Live returns to Singapore next week with another outstanding lineup of the best up and coming artists from South Korea. This year's lineup includes K-Pop rookie girl group Sonamoo, electronic acts IDIOTAPE and Glen Check and Ska/Dub band Kingston Rudieska. K-Pop Night Out at Music Matters Live will be held at Clarke Quay on Thursday 21st May at 7pm.

Headliners announced for 2015 Ansan M Valley Rock Festival incl Foo Fighters, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and deadmau5

South Korea's Ansan M Valley Rock Festival has announced their headliners for each day of the three day festival from July 24th to 26th. US rock gods Foo Fighters will be appearing as well as Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, deadmau5, Rudimental, OK GO, ONE OK ROCK, Motorhead and many more.

Hello Asia editor Johnny Au was invited to attend the 9th edition of Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival 2014 at the city of Incheon in South Korea. This three day international rock festival is one of the most important on the Korean music calendar with acts from the UK and US featured alongside Asian and local Korean artists. Day 2 of the festival featured acts such as Crash, The Inspector Cluzo, Boys Like Girls, Peppertones, IDIOTAPE, The Horrors and Day 2 headliner Kasabian (pictured above).
