Iceage Add Melbourne Show, Announce Supporting Artists!

Currently still celebrating the success of their widely acclaimed third LP, Plowing Into the Field of Love, Danish punks Iceage are proud to announce that they will be adding a third show in Melbourne to their January east coast tour of Australia.

Iceage returning to Australia this summer!

The gloriously depressive Danish punk rock wunderkinds ICEAGE have announced their return to Australia to play Sugar Mountain Festival as well as headlining performances in Sydney and Brisbane. Still giddy from the recent release of their third LP Plowing Into The Field Of Love featuring piano, mandolin, viola, and organ, and an East Coast tour, Iceage will lend their talents to Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory and Brisbane’s Alhambra Lounge. The praise is endless for these Copenhagen kids, but perhaps it was NME that said it the best… ”Be thankful for Iceage”.

Danish punk rockers Iceage hit the stage in Brisbane for the first time on Friday night, supported by Cobwebbs at The Brightside. Andrew Wade was there and brings us these photos from the night:

Danish punks Iceage are coming to Australia!

Copenhagen’s Danish punks Iceage will be bringing their singular mix of punk, goth, hardcore, and (lately) country-tinged post, punk to Australia, playing free debut shows in Sydney with Housewives, Low Life, and Ausmuteants, and in Melbourne with Exhaustion and Power.

New Music Video: Iceage "The Lord's Favorite" (2014)

Danish outfit Iceage are normally known for their savagely brutal punk-rock, as has been their modus operandi on their first two excellent albums. Now it seems like they have discovered melodic Americana on this preview of the band's next album, which has no name or release date as of yet, and it's an impressive - if unexpected - new direction.

Festival Review: Filter Magazine's Culture Collide Day One - Part Two: The Showcases - Silverlake, Los Angeles (10.10.13)

Following on from the late afternoon parties, the rest of the day saw me jump from venue to venue trying to catch as much music as possible. First up, I caught the end of Wooster, a solid rock band from Santa Cruz, California. That's about six hours North of LA for those playing at home. The band were as tight as they come, and the music they were producing would please any ear that fancies some good rock and roll. Definitely will be listening to them on record - and stay tuned for my interview with the band!
