Sydney’s Heroes For Hire are hitting the road this May for a series of all ages shows! Coming along for the ride along the east coast is good friends Nine Sons Of Dan and Forever Ends Here. These shows will be among the first to feature the new slimmed down four piece Heroes For Hire lineup, with guitarist and Heroes mastermind Duane Hazell stepping up to the microphone.

Mayday Parade's debut album A Lesson In Romantics is testament to the fact that the band has been perfecting their unique brand of pop-inflected punk and thorugh December, the band will be taking their new sounds on the road! Joining them on the road are We Are The In Crowd and Heroes For Hire, two bands who in their own ways, have been dominating on the live circuit and have been cultivating strong and loyal fan bases!

HyperFest rocked Midland Oval on October 7th with a massive line up, and it certainly didn't disappoint!

For a country that loves Yellowcard so much they certainly aren’t that great at touring here. They last made an appearance for the disappointing Counter Revolution festival a year ago, playing a short but sweet 40 minute set. Before that, the last time they toured was with Sum 41 back in 2007, only taking in Melbourne and Sydney (as well as a nifty acoustic set as part of a Myspace Secret Show) so it’s needless to say that we were ready for them again. However, Heroes For Hire had the honours of warming up the crowd first and quite frankly did a fantastic job of it.

Heroes For Hire have been going from strength to strength over the past couple of years pop-punking their way all over Australia. This year has seen Heroes For Hire on the bill for fun as hell festivals like Soundwave, being announced as Yellowcard's support for their September tour and their third album No Apologies produced by New Found Glory's Steve Klein also released this September!

Brisbane's Awaken I Am will be bringing their massive live sounds to stages near you through this month and September after scoring some awesome gig opportunities! Following a few weeks' break, the band have managed to get themselves on the list of fantastic performers scheduled to perform on the BigSound Live showcase in September.

Who said pop punk is dead? Well, judging by the crowd at 9pm last Friday at the Oxford Art Factory it was certainly critical. A small crowd had entered by the time the first band packed away their gear and Breakaway had set up. I guess it's not that cool to show up early to a punk gig.

Earlier this week, as they were filming promo for MTV, we sat down with Sydney group Heroes for Hire to talk about their Asian tour, Chinese censorship, upcoming Australian tour (which kicks off today - all the dates below!), their new record, New Found Glory Holes, and much more...

Before they hit the stage, we chatted with Sydney rocker Heroes for Hire... here's what went down:
