
Committed to supporting the Australian live music scene, Converse is presenting the 'Get Loud' series of gigs! Inspired by the Converse seasonal brand "Shoes Turn It Down, Sneakers Get Loud", this series of shoes are set to celebrate everything kickass about rock and roll. Kicking off in Sydney on June 13, the 'Get Loud' parties will travel to each main metro city in Australia before heading to Auckland. Check the details and note them down!

Brisbane outfit Gung Ho has just released its much awaited debut EP, Anywhere Else and successfully toured off the back of the five tracks. Despite the EP's success, singer/guitarist Michael McAlry and bassist/singer Oliver Duncan still consider themselves to be rookies, and have so much more to prove with their music.

When I expressed a desire to see Brisbane based band Gung Ho last month I was unemployed and suffering from a severe case of post holiday blues with nothing but spare time with a need for free entertainment. By the time the 22nd had finally rolled around I’d just finished my first week of full time employment after seven months off and wanted nothing more than to collapse in bed and stay there for the duration of the weekend.

Macklemore and & Ryan Lewis continue thier dominance on the charts, but Flume isn't too far behind. The Coopers Amp Prize rolls on with website content, and Josh Pyke giving you an opportunity to be mentored by him, all this in this weeks State of Affairs.
