Three days after Fat As Butter, and I am still dazed about the whole thing. All the bands I saw were amazing and I seriously can't fault a single one of them. But the sound left a whole heap to be desired for a festival of its size, there was very little food, even less in the way of stores and the crowd was young, drunk, racist and mostly naked to put it nicely.

Day two of Song Summit brought with it some fantastic panels, and closed up with an amazing night of music. The talk which brought the masses in was a surprisingly insightful conversation with Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden, who’s in town as part of the immensely successful TV show The Voice.

With just over a week to go until the Good Charlotte boys hit Brissie with their own original take on the classic Weezer album Blue, The JD Set are pleased to announce that the party plans have just gone into overdrive with news that joining the line up alongside the headliners and Amy Meredith are Melbourne rockers Trial Kennedy and Gold Coast rock quintet Nine Sons Of Dan.

Next month GOOD CHARLOTTE embark their first Australian tour in more than three years, bounding to the
stage for all-ages arena shows around the country.
