There has been much talk about the behind-the-scenes happenings of Big Day Out lately, from the controversy to the ridiculously expensive ticket price but none of that seems to matter on the big day – as you enter the festival all you need is enough good music to make for a fun day.
Wasting no time, I positioned myself in the main area’s pavilion to check out what the early-afternoon had in store for the infamous blue and orange stages.


There seems to be an endless stream of acts that are making the most of our vast brown land this summer. So much so that it is hard to keep up with everything that is happening. Luckily the AU review has got you covered with all those minor or yet all mportant details. Here's the latest news on some of the local and international acts that are touring this summer.

"Holy shit" seems to be among the most commonly used words on the internet this morning with the announcement of the Coachella 2012 lineup.

Let's get those diaries open... it's time for the Big Day Out sideshow announcements! While this is the vast majority of sideshows we'll be getting for BDO in 2012, we're sure there's more dates to come and more artists to be announced so stay tuned... but for now... away we go!
Tickets to all shows are on sale next Monday, the 28th at 12noon, with presales on the 25th.
