Live Review: Vance Joy + Fraser A Gorman and Big Harvest + Roscoe James Irwin - Jive, Adelaide (14.08.13)

Live Review: Jen Cloher + Ainslie Wills + Fraser A Gorman - Corner Hotel (28.06.13)

Fraser A Gorman is dressed completely in black and stands on the stage at The Corner, clutching an acoustic guitar. For such a young man, he initially appears sombre and serious. Despite his demeanour, between songs he quite affable, and tells a humorous tale or two with a sly grin. Under his Bob Dylan style fro, vocally, he’s like an amalgamation of Sam Cooke and Woody Guthrie. Full of country styling and boyish charm, he’s here to play a hand full of songs that are reminiscent of gospel hymns and doo-wop music.
