Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls announce massive headline tour!

Not one to be content with merely performing at the Byron Bay Bluesfest, British folk-punk Frank Turner has recently announced a slew of headline shows across Australia and New Zealand in April 2015. Seeing nothing but positive growth since his departure from Million Dead and expedition in an exciting solo career this is an opportunity to experience the unique connection with the audience that this man is so applauded for creating. With such achievements fitting comfortably under his belt as opening the 2012 Olympic Games and moving 200,000 copies of last year's Tape Deck Heart, Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls are definitely not to be missed! Bluesfest returns to Byron Bay over the Easter Weekend next year for its 26th year! 26! Worthy of a party, we're sure. As usual, the country's premier blues and roots festival has turned up with their A-Game strong, with their first artist announcement set to excite both the long-time Bluesfest attendees and those still tossing up what they're planning on doing during the April long weekend. This year, rather than opt for my traditional Festival Diaries format for SXSW, I went for a more straight forward approach, with a series of reviews on ground at the event. Ben Harper, Santana, Iggy and the Stooges, The Frames and many more lead the first Byron Bay Bluesfest announcement for 2013.

Today Bluesfest, Australia’s multi-award winning 5 Day Festival presents its 1st artist announcement for Easter 2013 (March 28 – April 1) held in beautiful Byron Shire, at its dedicated event site, the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm.

It’s the earliest announcement in the history of Bluesfest – 6 weeks sooner than usual and it marks the beginning of FOUR exciting announcements to be released in the upcoming weeks.
