Live Review: Holy Holy + Fractures - Howler, Melbourne (06.09.15)

To say Holy Holy are on a roll would be an understatement. The band of polished musicians followed up the release of debut album When The Storms Would Come with sold out shows around the country, including two at Melbourne's Howler. We were supremely lucky to catch them on the second night.

Single of the Day: Fractures “Reactor" (2015)

Fractures has the ability to somehow make minimalistic sound really big. His new single “Reactor” is led with expertly produced beats sitting under an array of intricate synth and guitar parts. His beautiful falsetto with layered harmonies brings this track even more to life. “Reactor” is the first taste of his debut album which is due early next year, and follows up his 2014 8-track EP. Aussie showcase "Southern Exposure" lineup and set times announced for CMJ, presented by the AU review.

Southern Exposure is a special showcase of Australian music taking over Piano's in New York City this Thursday night, from 8pm to 3am, as part of CMJ 2014 - proudly presented by Australian publication the AU review and showing off some of the finest up-and-coming talent from the Great Southern Land. Global Music Grant 2014 shortlist of nominees announced at BIGSOUND

Today, at Australian music conference BIGSOUND, a shortlist of nominees for the annual 2014 Carlton Dry Global Music Grant has been announced. With the $50,000 grant established last year in conjunction with AIR to help fund an international tour for a chosen independent Australian act, this initiative seeks to celebrate and reward some of our country's best emerging talent and assist them in boosting their global profile, furthering their career overseas.
