Erykah Badu and Andre 3000 team up for “Hello”

The supreme Erykah Badu has released yet another song about telephones, this time calling upon the free-flowing Andre 3000 to lace the sparkling neo-soul number with both an opening rap and a melodic harmony. “Hello”, which samples “Hello It’s Me” by the great The Isley Brothers, features the former lovers crooning over a breezy production full of soft drums and twinkling keys tied together by the undeniable chemistry these two have always had in and out of the studio.

We now finally have access to Badu’s new EP, But You Caint Use My Phone, which has been released exclusively on iTunes and Apple Music before it hits the wider web from December 4th. It is Badu’s first project in 5 years and consists of 11 tracks, including the recently released “Phone Down” and a collaboration with Drake.
