The first day of live music at Splendour in the Grass continues with Boy & Bear, DJ Shadow, The Hives, Gotye, Modest Mouse, Mogwai, The Black Seeds, Bluejuice, Kanye West and many more!

Well, it’s that time of year again, when we stop and reflect on album releases over the last six months. In order to do this, we asked the AU review contributors to submit their votes on what they thought to be their favourite albums of 2011 and why...

Fresh from abandoning their major label relationship and the release of their long-awaited sophomore album ‘Don’t Say We Didn’t Warn You’, British electro punks Does It Offend You, Yeah? announce a series of Australian sideshows in August to coincide with their appearance at the 2011 Splendour In The Grass festival.


Truly long running music festivals in Australia are few and far between. To most observers, Big Day Out would take that cake - kicking off in 1992. But when placed against a festival like Glastonbury, which started out in some form over 40 years ago, it pales in comparison. But believe it or not, we do have a few festivals with a similar length history in Australia. And one of them is Canberra's Stonefest.

Future Music Festival. A day synonymous with fluro-wearing hipsters dancing off their drug intakes on a racecourse. But it turns out it’s a pretty fun day, too!
