Disclosure and Hot Chip heading for the Sydney Opera House in January!

The Sydney Opera House has continued to bring it in terms of their contemporary music programming so far in recent months and the announcements have just kept coming. The most recent of these announcements is one that will see both Disclosure and Hot Chip putting on one hell of a show inside the Opera House’s Concert Hall. Both British acts, in the country for various summer festival appearances and headline shows, will slot in some time at one of the country’s most iconic music venues for a show to top off an excellent summer program at the House.

Opera House Head of Contemporary Music Ben Marshall has said of these shows: “There’s a lovely symmetry to the pairing of these announcements as the omnivorous reconstruction of dance music’s past into new forms is also one of the mighty Disclosure’s trademarks. …Hot Chip’s wide-ranging Coming On Strong album landed in my hands 11 years ago and I’ve adored their remarkable combination of power, propulsion, melancholy and wistful electronic romance ever since. …They are a powerhouse live act and this will be a monster performance in the Concert Hall this summer.”

The Concert Hall will be taking both acts’ usual club vibes up another level, with the hall’s massive PA set to provide an excellent sound, not to mention the strobes added to both Disclosure and Hot Chip’s A/V shows being brought on both nights. Tickets for both shows are on sale from 9am, November 13th – head to the Sydney Opera House to get more information!
