Cut Copy to join the Playground Weekender Class of 2011

Playground HQ are thrilled to announce Cut Copy will be joining the Playground Weekender Class of 2011!

Taking place 17 – 20 February at Wisemans Ferry, Cut Copy will share the main stage with artists such as Lamb, Tricky, Kool & the Gang, De La Soul, Kate Nash and Architecture in Helsinki.

Coinciding with today’s release of Cut Copy’s highly anticipated new album ‘Zonoscope’, riverside revellers can expect “head nodding bliss” (In The Mix) from the much loved four piece headed by front man Dan Whitford, as they offer up their infectious concoction of organic psychadelia intersecting with repetitive robotics.

“All the way along we had this weird vision of a tropical, jungle, tribal sound. A place or an idea that we wanted to reach with some of the songwriting; to explore a looping hypnotic trance and revise the whole palette of what Cut Copy was about.” Dan Whitford

Aside from six stages of music the four day boutique festival offers mini golf, a swimming pool, wine and cocktail bars, hair and make up salon, river bathing in the Hawkesbury, market stalls, hula hoop workshops, beer & cider gardens and Australia’s largest fancy dress party.
