Not only has the band returned to Adelaide, dubbed by Dempsey as “The Kingdom”, but it is also his birthday and man, was the crowd in a celebratory mood.

Melbourne singer Courtney Barnett latest single "History Eraser" was clip of the week on Rage and featured on Channel V, and she was named by Triple J as the "Next Crop" artist for 2012.
It was this time last year when the then 23 year old released her debut EP, and now it is her first time headlining gigs outside of Melbourne.
Her band The Courtney Barnetts will be touring in support of her new single "Avant Gardener."

Finally after a five year hiatus, Jens Lekman is back with a new album and a new live show.

The decadent Palace theatre was crammed with Twentysomethings clad in all manner of jewel-coloured 80’s get ups, many gals braving metal stairs in their platformed wedges. In the shadow of worldwide economic turmoil, it’s comforting to know that 5 Brisbanites, who make up Ball Park Music , can fill the Palace to its capacity of 2000 people on this warm, Friday evening.

The evening was charged with an omnipresent sense of magic, and as cardie -wearing, rosy cheeked Melbourne lads, The Ocean Party played smashing jangly pop tunes, the night that unfolded was one of wonder; showcasing three damn fine Aussie acts.
