City and Colour coming to Sydney and Melbourne at the end of October for exclusive fan events!

City and Colour fans have the chance to see Dallas Green perform an exclusive and intimate acoustic set in either Sydney or Melbourne this month, as the Canadian songwriter has announced a quick trip out to Australia to celebrate his long-awaited new album, If I Should Go Before You. These fan events will have Green appearing in Sydney on October 19th and Melbourne on October 22nd, performing and answering some questions as part of two Q&A sessions not to be missed.

Album Review: This Wild Life - Clouded: Atmosphere Edition (2015 LP)

At the beginning of this year, the pop-punk acoustic duo of This Wild Life made an appearance at Soundwave Festival and needless to say - they held a fantastic set! I remember coming across one of their acoustic covers of A Day To Remember's "If It Means A Lot To You" and the brilliance of the acoustic vibes that resonated in their music was stunning. The poetic lyrics, the delicate string arrangement of guitars and the honesty and genuine feeling that is placed in each track were obviously crafted with perfection.

The National & City and Colour lead the 2016 Bluesfest announcement!

How's this for a Friday festival announcement? The crew behind Bluesfest have come out with their first artist reveal this morning, naming The National and City and Colour at the top of the list for the 2016 event taking place just outside of Byron Bay over the Easter long weekend.

Album Review: You+Me - rose ave. (2014 LP)

A bond shared between two friends is a special thing, but to be able to share what you’re most passionate about can make this bond even stronger. Created by both Dallas Green (of City and Colour) and Alecia Moore (P!nk), rose ave. is a collaborative effort made by both talented musicians and one that can be appreciated by many people who crave for music that will keep them at ease.

Splendour Spotlight: 12 of our favourite performances from Splendour In The Grass 2014

The sound waves from Splendour In The Grass 2014 will be felt for a while, especially on a national scale as some of the weekend's greatest performances came from locals who took full advantage of the massive platform. Special anniversary performances from OutKast and Spiderbait, an emotional set from The Jezabels, and sets from Violent Soho and Phantogram, amongst others, really kicked things up a notch for Splendour, giving punters one of the best additions of the annual event. Chris was on ground to run around the festival and witness just some of these great performances; here are 10 of his favourites. Unfortunately, he is but one person, so much talked about sets from the likes of Childish Gambino, Hilltop Hoods, Tune-Yards, REMi and Angus & Julia Stone are not included.

Festival Review: Splendour in the Grass (Day Two) Ft. City and Colour + Foals + Future Islands (26.04.14)

Weather kept smiling upon us as we navigated North Byron Parklands for the second official day of Splendour In The Grass, with the expected rain lasting all but a few minutes, aside from the occasional, insignificant drizzle. As such, the bulk of the crowd remained at the open-air Ampitheatre for the final moments of the day, with a fantastic closing line-up of The Jezabels, Foals, and City and Colour, who each came close to stealing the show from Friday headliners OutKast. Very close, in Foals' case.

Live Review: City and Colour - Sydney Opera House, Sydney (24.07.14)

"Let's just get this out of the way." Deadpanned Dallas Green as he walked out onto the Opera House stage. "This is weird for everyone, not just me." It was the first concession he made that connected to the long term Alexisonfire fans who have followed him along his career to this point. It needn't have felt weird, as Green has been playing regal venues like this for a while, having only just played three sold out at the State Theatre last year. Furthermore it’d be a safe wager that his vocals have never sounded as majestic as they did in the Opera House.

Two Door Cinema Club cancel Splendour In The Grass appearance; Foals fill the void.

Splendour In The Grass have confirmed reports that Alex Trimble of Two Door Cinema Club has been hospitalised due to falling ill, and as a result the band - scheduled to headline the Saturday of SITG - will no longer be able to perform.

Live Review: City and Colour + Olympia - The Toff (19.07.13)

Canada’s Dallas Green known as City and Colour is an artist whose audience hangs on his every word and note sung, listening in complete silence. He’s the kind of muso who inspires male and female adulation, so it’s no surprise that he’s playing to a sold out show at the Toff.
