MUCHO-BRAVADO ANNOUNCES PRE-BIGSOUND PARTY AT THE BLACK BEAR LODGE
It has been quite some time since I have been to the Black Bear Lodge, and probably only the second time since its infamous transformation from The Troubadour. I’d forgotten just what an amazing room it is. Stupidly hot, but incredible. Charlie Mayfair chose this venue for their show celebrating the release of their new EP Fall in Time.

Brisbane indie-folksters Charlie Mayfair are gearing up to launch their second EP Fall In Time this weekend, and have launched a creepy and awesome clip for the lead single, 'Waste Me'. Check it out!

Ahead of their second EP release, Fall In Time, we asked the Brisbane-based indie-folksters Charlie Mayfair to create a playlist featuring some of their favourite and most influential songs. Here's what they had to say about their selections:
1. Active Child - "Hanging On"

Some great releases this week including Lawrence Arabia, John Butler, Lisa Mitchell, The Beach Boys, Josh Ritter and a re-release from Lenny Kravitz. Some excellent homegrown releases as well in there!
It’s always a sad day when a band decides it’s time to call it quits, and for the band Montpelier, it’s quite sad indeed. Although they are not the most well known group in Brisbane, they do have a loyal little band of followers, and I won’t lie, I am one of them. I’ve been with them for most of their two and a half year stint, going to the majority of their Brisbane gigs.

Montpelier said farewell with a final show at The Zoo before going on 'indefinite hiatus'. Charlie Mayfair came along to help say goodbye.
