Welcome back for another week. As we get slightly further into 2012, the album releases from week to week just keep growing and this week’s edition is the biggest yet!

Before doing this album review I had the advantage of speaking with Chad Vangaalen about the makings of his new album, Diaper Island. I asked him how he defines 'real' music, which is always an interesting topic in the music industry. Especially when pastiche is the norm, we have bands talk about their influences, and writers like myself grappling with new sounds by comparing them to pre-existing songs, genres or people.
