Veil Of Maya Wrap Up Australian Tour This Week

Photo Gallery: Soundwave Festival - Claremont Showgrounds, Perth (05.03.12)

The final installment of the Soundwave Festival rolled into Claremont showgrounds delivering the biggest lineup of the summer. Featured on the bill were System Of A Down, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Alter Bridge, Machine Head, Bad Religion and more. We also said goodbye to local punk rockers Break Even and the legendary rock band Thursday who were performing their final ever shows. Stuart Sevastos was on the ground to capture the action of the day.

Live Review: Soundwave Festival - RNA Showgrounds, Brisbane (25.02.12)

The best laid plans of mice, men, and now apparently music reviewers often go awry. Although I had planned to catch Pennsylvanian rockers CKY and French metal act Gojira, traffic snarls and the sheer crowd size of Soundwave 2012 prevent me from doing so. Well, I end up catching about ten seconds of Gojira after a short sprint; I won’t lie, it was a pretty fantastic ten seconds.

The Getaway Plan + Break Even + Gatherer + Hands Like Houses - UC Refectory, Canberra (27.11.11)

You can forget about Sunday being a day of rest, with Melbourne alternative rockers The Getaway Plan bringing their mind-blowing Requiem tour to the UC refectory in Canberra, with special guests Break Even, Gatherer and Hands Like Houses.

Local supports announced for the Title Fight and Touche Amore Australian tour

In a scene flooded with bands that choose to focus on anger and apathy, BREAK EVEN (pictured) separate themselves from the pack by encouraging the listener to find the bright side in everything, whether it be in life, in dreams, or in loss. With an already impressive touring history, BREAK EVEN will be supporting TITLE FIGHT and TOUCHÉ AMORÉ this September on all five dates.

No Sleep Til Festival - Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Adelaide, (15.12.2010)

I had been eagerly anticipating last Wednesday rolling around, like a kid waiting for Santa to come. The No Sleep Til festival, a whole day of punk, hardcore and metal. Santa wasn’t in the house, but maybe Satan was, riding his black horse alongside the tour bus of Australia and New Zealand's own dedicated punk and heavy metal festival.

Photo Gallery and Live Review: No Sleep Til Festival - Joondalup Arena, Perth (12.12.10)

On Sunday, Perth played host to the first No Sleep Till Festival... 9 hours of pure, unadulterated heavy metal/hard rock thunder.

Unfortunately, the two stage setup of the festival meant I was busier than a headless chicken in a tag team match with Ozzy Osborne and Alice Cooper, but I did manage to catch most of the acts that played.
