Album Review: Born Lion - Born Lion (2013 EP)

Born Lion has a punk sound forged for the Triple J generation. Choosing punchy, rhythmic guitar stabs over blasted power chords and tuneless chanting over vocal melody, they are left with a sound closer to an amalgamation of The Hives and The Rapture than anything considered traditionally punk. This isn't inherently a problem - the execution is.
