Blood Red Shoes hit Australian shores for the first time at the very end of 2012, and within a couple of hours they were deep in the valley and talking to the AU Review. With three albums under their belt now, the band have been kicking strong through the UK for nine years, though it is with their latest album that they have started to show their true song writing ability, instead of just jamming out their records as they had in the previous two rock heavier albums.

It's a big week here in Sydney. Every night there seem to be dozens of bands playing sideshows from their Falls, Field Day, Southbound, Peats and Woodford appearances - and there simply aren't enough people in this city to fill every venue with a $50 ticket. Unfortunately this meant that the crowds were not out in force for Blood Red Shoes, but the fans who were there were treated to a phenomenal show - and fans they were, singing along to just about every word of every song.

Blood Red Shoes play the HiFi Bar in Sydney on their first visit to Australia, supported by Step-Panther and Black Zeros.
