Launching their new album Another Way, Sydney 'psychedelic rock 'n' roll pop' band Hailer will be touring through New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria and Brisbane over the new few months! With the album to be released at the end of May, fans will be able to see Hailer showcase the material, also providing perhaps the last opportunity for people to see them perform before they relocate to the US for a few months.

Not forgetting the surprising debut release from 80’s film star Molly Ringwald and the highly anticipated debut’s of Major Lazer and Charli XCX. This week has it all, plus much much more!

Melbourne band Blackchords are just about to drop their new album A Thin Line, available April 5. To celebrate the release, Blackchords will be touring the east coast, hitting up Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

In just over a month, the city of Austin, Texas will be throwing open its doors to tens of thousands of music fans, industry officials and musicians for the annual SXSW music festival and conference. Amongst that number are thirty-eight Australian artists. SXSW has announced its next waves of invited acts to perform at the 2013 conference, the festival's 27th edition. Taking place in Austin, Texas from March 12-17, the second batch of bands brings the total to a massive 800 announced artists. The list is still yet to be completed, but below are the Australian boys and girls who are set to do their thing at SXSW next year!

The first wave of artists to be performing during Canadian Music Week next year has been announced! The Canadian Music Festival, taking place in Toronto during March, will be welcoming more than 1000 music acts from Canada and around the world - both emerging and established.
Quite a lot of hype has surrounded The Medics as of late, with the Cairns rockers recently dominating at the National Indigenous Music Awards, and their debut album Foundations receiving great praise from reviewers and fans . Not being overly familiar with their music, I decided to venture out to Karova Lounge on Thursday night to see what all the fuss is about.
