Bertie Blackman - The Dash

"Run For Your Life", the new single from Bertie Blackman triggers the very sensations Bertie Blackman is singing about: feet pounding the pavement, the air rushing into your lungs, the blood pumping through your veins. Referencing the stylistic choices of the 80's and all the things that made Bertie happy growing up, Vanessa Ronan-Pearce had a chat to find out more about her upcoming album, The Dash.

New Music Video: Bertie Blackman "Stella" (2012)

Having just finished up a tour around the country supporting Gotye, the wonderful Bertie Blackman is definitely on our minds at the moment. She has just released a new music video for her track "Stella", which was directed by Andrew Kavanagh, the 2012 Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards winner of the Film Category. It's a beautiful song in my books and a simple, but well produced video clip to boot. Enjoy it here!

Live Review: Gotye + PVT + Bertie Blackman - Sydney Entertainment Centre (14.12.12)

Some artists believe you’re only as good as your last show. Gotye’s concert at the Entertainment Centre was his final one of the world tour in a year that has seen him win more hearts, minds and awards then ever. The music sounded perfect, the visuals were dazzling and he could retire tomorrow knowing that he’d offered something really wonderful and artistic.

Live Review: Gotye + PVT + Bertie Blackman - The Riverstage (12.12.12)

It is so good to have the man of the hour back in the country. For last eight or so months, Gotye AKA Wally De Backer has been touring the world and being generally amazing. He's bringing the tour to a close in his home country. Making Mirrors is not even a year and a half old yet and it is still gaining critical acclaim at the Arias and now, The Grammys; a huge thing for this little Australian artist. This tour is a big step up from the last time he toured the country, and shows what a true musical genius this man is. Supporting him on this tour were the sensational Bertie Blackman and PVT.
