Ali Barter & Ben Wright-Smith to co-headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney

Musician friends Ali Barter and Ben Wright-Smith are set to play two co-headline shows together this week, in Sydney and Melbourne. They will be joined by special guest Jack Colwell in Sydney, and WILSN at their Melbourne show.

Every year as September rolls around, Brisbane opens up it’s arms and takes Australia’s youngest up and coming musical talents into a warm, boozy embrace. An all you can eat musical buffet of 150 bands across 15 stages was presented for punters to feast on as the sun went down over the Fortitude Valley skyline.

The 3rd AU sessions hit Erskineville's Hive Bar last night, with amazing performances by Sydney's Brendan Maclean and Melbourne's Ben Wright Smith. The upstairs bar was well attended, with both artists offering a warm and inviting atmosphere to take us away from the otherwise chilly Sydney evening. New Music Video: Ben Wright Smith "No One" (2015)

Melbourne's Ben Wright Smith is having a stellar 2015 so far with the release of his single "No One". Co-produced by Ben and Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy) and featuring a guest vocal appearance from Ali Barter, the single has been featured on the Triple J Home & Hosed blog as one of the "Best Aussie Songs of the Week". Today, the AU review is excited to bring you the full music video for "No One", which is directed by Tobias Willis and shot in Victoria's Cape Patterson and Dandenong Ranges. The video features Karate expert Cris Cochran, of whom Ben said "There’s something about that guy that’s so likable... especially for someone kicking air for three and a half minutes straight.”
