Festival Review: Lollapalooza Berlin - Tempelhof Airport, Germany (12.09.15 & 13.09.15)

Lollapalooza branched out into Europe for the first time over the weekend, taking Berlin's Tempelhof Airport by storm. The sold out event drew huge numbers of music fans down to the defunct airport (one of the coolest festival venues I've been too, I'll add) for some brilliant sets by artists who've been away for a little while, some of the biggest names touring at the moment and some recent festival favourites. Having attended Lollapalooza in Chicago last year, I felt like I was going into this one at least a little prepared, but Berlin's festival game was another beast in itself.

Only some hours ago in Berlin, music fans saw out the first official Lollapalooza event in their city. Across three stages at the Tempelhof Airport, Muse, Tame Impala and Martin Garrix brought 50,000 plus people together to celebrate the end of a weekend of great music, perfect weather and a successful festival line up.

the AU interview: Richard Colburn of Belle & Sebastian (Scotland) talks Australia and "Girls in Peacetime..."

Belle & Sebastian are not only making their long awaited return to Australia in the new year, but they have a new album to boot - the much anticipated Girls in Peacetime Want To Dance, their first in five years. Ahead of its release and the tour, I spoke to drummer Richard Colburn about it, working with producer Ben H Allen, recording in Atlanta, Georgia and much more.

Liverpool Sound City names Belle and Sebastian as its first headliner and details of their new site for 2015!

Liverpool Sound City will be celebrating its 8th birthday in 2015 with a new venues and what is looking to be a huge program lineup! The festival is set to move from its original home at Wolstenholme Square, over to the Bramley Moore Dock is a move to grow, evolve and breathe new life into the heart of the city. Along with this announcement, Liverpool Sound City have also named Belle and Sebastian as their first festival headliners!

Today the Twilight at Taronga Series was launched in Sydney, with a stellar line up of Australian and international musicians confirmed to perform as part of the 2015 series. In a perfect setting of the harbour-side ampitheatre, these shows will return for it's 20th year in 2015 from January 30th through until March 21st.

Belle and Sebastian returning to Australia for the first time in four years next January and February!

In great news for Australian fans, Belle and Sebastian have announced a slew of dates out this way early next year! The Glaswegians have already been announced on the NZ Laneway Festival line up, but in order to ensure their Aussie fans don't miss out, the band has scheduled in a capital city tour through January and February. Success!

Album Review: Belle and Sebastian - The Third Eye Centre (2013 LP)

The Third Eye Centre is not your average album, but then Glasgow’s pop collective, Belle and Sebastian have never done anything on average terms. Their latest release is a 19-track b-side compilation of non-album tracks, remixes and more written between 2003 and 2010.

You might have caught this one on Rage over the weekend - check out the new video for Belle & Sebastian's track 'Your Cover's Blown (Miaoux Miaoux Mix)', feature English actress Hannah Murray of Game of Thrones and Skins. The song is from Belle & Sebastian's album The Third Eye Centre, out now.

Festival d'été de Québec releases more artist details and program information for 2013!

The Festival d'été de Québec, Canada's largest outdoor music festival, is taking place again this July 4-14. With 12 outdoor stages and venues, attracting over 1000 artists to the historical city over the 11 day event, this festival has been pulling visitors and performers of all arts in from all over the world since 1968.

Belle & Sebastian announce new Sydney show

Scottish combo Belle & Sebastian have added a 2nd and final Sydney show to their national
tour next month, playing in the intimate surrounds of The Metro.

With only a handful of tickets remaining for their Opera House show, Belle & Sebastian will
head to The Metro on Wednesday March 9. Tickets go on sale next Monday February 14
through Ticketek.
