Sydney band the Bell Weather Department present their video for "Voodoo Hoodoo"! Self-described as the champions of their brand of 'kaleidoscopic rock and roll', the five-piece have produced a piece of music that is definitely slightly off-kilter, but catchy and easy on the ear as all heck.

Bell Weather Department are at it again; breaking through boundaries, conventions, and genres, with their latest release, "Asterisk".

Placing a band into a genre is not only looked down upon by bands not wanting to be pigeonholed, but can also be difficult. Sydney boys Bell Weather Department have released a single and teaser track from their upcoming debut LP, due to be released in 2012.

Sydney's Kaleidoscopic 4 piece, Bell Weather Department will be doing a run of dates this coming September before bunkering down to work on their debut LP. Having shared stages with the likes of The Holidays, Boy & Bear, DZ Deathrays & WIM in the short time they've played together, things may have seemed quiet over winter but in reality, have been busier than ever.

Arriving alone at the Gaelic Club and having to explain that I did not have a 'plus one' was a little embarrassing, but what began as an awkward solo-mission actually turned out to be a great night at the thriving Surrey Hills venue.
