BEACHES

Music Video Monday feat. Deru, Oh Mercy, Skipping Girl Vinegar, Moonbell, Belles Will Ring, The Windy City, The Snowdroppers, Beaches and more!

Just barely making this online before the end of the day, but it still counts! We're back once again with our weekly Music Video Monday! We kick things off with our video of the week, which goes to an electronic artist from Los Angeles who I only discovered over the weekend: Deru (Benjamin Wynn). The track here is "Fadeaway" from the album Say Goodbye To Useless on Mush Records.

The Laurels and Beaches to support The Black Angels' East Coast tour.

With Phosphene Dream’s release date imminent (June 24) The Black Angels are amping up for their arrival to our shores in a matter of days for their long-awaited Aussie tour!

Jon Spencer Blues Explosion + Beaches - Esplanade Hotel (14.01.11)

Despite the almost unbearable humidity that lingered after an uncomfortably warm day, a full house packed the Espy’s front bar on this particular night. I arrived just as the all-girl group Beaches began playing their set and somehow managed to position myself at the front behind one of the speakers. That was a bad move. I have no idea whether it was my proximity to the noise or whether the band members were weary from the tropical atmosphere, but the lyrics sounded like one long mumble.

St Jerome's Laneway Festival - Lonsdale Street (01.02.09)

A Sydneysider's Take on Melbourne's Big Day Out 2009

Having attended the Sydney Big Day Out for the past 5 years, it would
be fair to say that being sick of the crowd that attends this event is
an understatement. So, loving Melbourne, I decided to make the trip
down south for this year's epic BDO event - and boy, did it pay off. I
guess I better just say it now: Melbourne Big Day Out shits ALL over
the Sydney event.

Big Day Out 09 - Flemington Racecourse (26.01.09)

When the first couple of announcements were made for the Big Day Out, I, like many others were somewhat underwhelmed, but leading up to the day I grew increasingly excited! The weather was good, the people were awesome and the bands killed it!
