The second day of the Southbound festival saw temperatures rise well past the coolness of the first day and had the majority of festival goers opting for the shade of the Share Stage.

Live Review: Beach House + Wintercoats - Forum Theatre (09.01.13)

A friend of mine went to Falls Festival over new year's. At Hot Chip she saw a bloke holding up a papier-mâché hot chip, an Australian icon. Ten minutes before support act Wintercoats takes the stage, she laments the fact we did not make a papier-mâché beach house.

Live Review: Beach House + Wintercoats - Enmore Theatre (03.01.13)

Since their last visit back in 2011, there have been a few subtle progressions in the grandeur and awe of Beach House’s already impressive live show. Despite mixed reviews of last year’s Bloom, its addition to the set added a weight and vivacity previously unseen, while also answering some questions and converting some skeptics.

New Music Video: Beach House "Lazuli"

What do fried chicken, magic and science fiction all have in common? Usually it would be nothing, however, it is interesting to see how they are all intertwined (as well as people from different walks of life) in the latest Beach House video for their new single, "Lazuli". Watch it, and be mesmerised!

Album Review: Beach House - Bloom (2012 LP)

Beach House - Bloom

It's interesting to note that for Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand - the duo known as Beach House - Bloom isn't exactly the bright, luminescent, or flowery album title some of us may have imagined. In fact, as explained in an interview with Pitchfork, for the Baltimore-based musicians it has a slightly darker tone, encapsulating the temporal and "cyclical nature of all things".

Single Stream: Beach House "Myth" (2012)

It has been awhile, but the wait is (almost) over. Beach House has just released their first single, "Myth", taken from their recently announced album, Bloom, which will be available from May 15th.
