Elliot Oakes captured Band of Skulls on Thursday night, performing alongside Spookyland at the Oxford Art Factory in a special Bluesfest sideshow. Check out the photos here:

Band of Skulls set for Bluesfest sideshows in 2015!

Band of Skulls will betake in Australia next year for Bluesfest in Byron Bay, but have also announced some headline dates for the trip! Australian festival and headline favourites, the British trio will be supporting The Black Keys at the Rolling Green concerts, but will now be playing two gigs in Melbourne and Sydney with limited capacity at each.

The Black Keys announce Australian tour following headline Bluesfest reveal!

When The Black Keys were announced as Bluesfest headliners this morning, we know we weren't the only ones crossing our fingers, waiting for some headline dates to eventuate. Luckily, we weren't waiting too long, with this afternoon's announcement that the American duo would be touring their latest album Turn Blue around the country lighting up out Tuesday!

Bluesfest names The Black Keys, Alabama Shakes and more on first artist announcement for 2015!

Bluesfest returns to Byron Bay over the Easter Weekend next year for its 26th year! 26! Worthy of a party, we're sure. As usual, the country's premier blues and roots festival has turned up with their A-Game strong, with their first artist announcement set to excite both the long-time Bluesfest attendees and those still tossing up what they're planning on doing during the April long weekend. Without further ado...

the AU interview: Ben Dowd of Apes (Melbourne) on new single "Pull The Trigger" and more

Having just wrapped up touring alongside Band Of Skulls, Melbourne rock outfit APES have made no time for rest as they head back on the road for the launch of their brand new single, “Pull The Trigger”. We caught up with front man Ben Dowd to talk about their latest track and what else lies ahead for the dynamic 4 piece.

Live Review: Band of Skulls + Apes - The Hi-Fi, Brisbane - (21.06.14)

"It's the last night of our world tour," says Band of Skulls' frontman Russell Marsden, a couple of songs into his band's set at The Hi-Fi, "And we've got nothing to lose".

Band of Skulls returned to Sydney on Friday night, playing the Hi-Fi with Melbourne's Apes for a night of great rock and roll. Gwendolyn Lee was there and brings us these photos from the night:

Live Review: Band Of Skulls + Apes - The Hi-Fi, Sydney (20.06.14)

In the blue light, Russell Marsden’s voice blooms: “If I die tomorrow, would you be upset?” It’s the middle of Band of Skulls set, and it’s time to take a breath. Aided only by his own liquidy guitar, there are no thundering drums on this version of “Nightmares” - the lead cut off their latest record, Himalayan - but instead it’s been excellently re-imagined as a slow burning ballad.

Live Review: Band Of Skulls- The Hi-Fi, Melbourne (17.06.14)

Before I begin this review and slather (well deserved) praise on Band Of Skulls, I would like to throw a huge virtual high five to the 6'5 guy who carried a young woman who had collapsed in the heat and hustle of the front row to safety. Punters like you are few and far between, and your actions were completely badass. Random giant guy, you are a legend.

Dr. Martens' #standupforsomething live concert series and pop-up store goes off with a bang in Melbourne!

Well, when you get a bunch of passionate music fans in a pop-up venue along with three kickass bands, high on the rock and roll meter, you're almost guaranteed to have a blast. Dr. Martens' #standforsomething series launched successfully this week, with their first ever pop-up shop opening in St Kilda remaining open until Sunday - the only opportunity shoppers will have to purchase some limited edition product, unavailable anywhere else in the country!

Band of Skulls play Melbourne as part of their world tour for their latest album Himalayan. Michael Christian was at their Tuesday night show at The Hi-Fi and brings us these photos:

CLOSED Win a double pass to one of the Stand For Something gigs in Melbourne and a pair of Dr. Martens!

Dr. Martens will be taking over a yet-to-be-revealed location in one of Melbourne’s most musically iconic suburbs for one week only this June. Prepare for a unique experience only Dr. Martens can deliver featuring Stonefeld (June 16), Kingswood (June 17) and the incredible Band Of Skulls (June 18) . the AU interview: Band of Skulls' Emma Richardson (Southampton) talks "Himalayan", SXSW and the expansion of their sound!

On the phone from Portland, Emma Richardson from Band of Skulls is quite relaxed, despite being in the middle of quite the tour schedule. With a killer album in Himalayan doing well in forming some of the most hard-hitting Band of Skulls sets yet, it won't be long before the English trio return to Australian shores for a tour this month.

Dr. Martens set to take over a secret Melbourne venue for one week only in June, launching #STANDFORSOMETHING.

This is a sweet one. Dr. Martens launched the #STANDFORSOMETHING campaign, encompassing a pop-up, live music series in Melbourne. Set to take over an as-yet-unrevealed location in one of the city's most musically vibrant and iconic suburbs for a week in June, the shoe company will also be opening a pop-up store with limited edition styles available only for the run of the series.
