We're getting closer and closer to all the good things: warmer weather, festival season and some massive headline tours to wrap up the year by some of our favourite artists. For our Artists of the Month, The Jungle Giants, they've got a stack of appearances coming up over the next few months in support of their recently released album Speakerzoid. Not only do they have a headline tour of their own, but they've recently been announced on a run of festival dates before the year is out too. Frontman Sam Hales has given us a little glimpse into some jams that he loves, guaranteed to psych us up for all the good times fans still have ahead in the new few months!

Album Review: Various Artists - Spirit of Akasha: Celebrating Morning of the Earth (2014 LP)

Spirit of Akasha is the compilation soundtrack for the Australian film of the same name. This two-disc insight into surf vibes, psychedelics and folk rock provided by names such as Pond, Matt Corby, Atoms for Peace and Grouplove - to name a few - is an excellent piece of music, but I realised that if I wanted to review this compilation, I had to understand what it was trying to achieve. Every good album has its own story, like a mission statement and to do that I had to discover the story of the original film - Morning of the Earth.

It's day two of our best of 2013 coverage and we're jumping right back into our favourite albums of 2013. Yesterday we delivered 40 to 31 and so today let's hit into the top 30, kicking off with one of our favourite up-and-coming Australian groups, The Trouble with Templeton.

Atoms For Peace - Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke’s side project - have enticed fans with a taste of their debut album under the Atoms name, due sometime in the first half of 2013.
