Fans of The Amity Affliction are going to be extremely happy with this announcement - from September, the rockers are embarking on their longest run of Australian tour dates in their career thus far, supporting the release of their next album Chasing Ghosts. The record, a follow up to the juggernaut that was Youngbloods, was recorded in the United States with energy levels kept an all-time high.

A huge list of releases this week with some much anticipated albums and popular artists in the mix including UK band The Vaccines, The XX, Periphery, Dntel and a live DVD from Danko Jones. Local releases include Sophie Koh, Wooshie and Expatriate.

The line at the metro for doors open time was way too long for me to stand, hoping that the first band wouldn't be amazingly good, I head across the road for a beer to wait for the line to die down.
