Free Wednesday night shows at the Edinburgh Castle
Every Wednesday in June will see different acts spice up the venue in Lonely Soul Wednesday Night at the Edinburgh Castle. Four to five local acts will perform hosted by local comedian Ross Voss. The shows will include music, magic, dance and comedy and a live band to round up the night.

Queenscliff Music Festival announces line up
The 16th version of the festival is back with their Winter Warmup party in July. The festival will feature Clairy Browne & the Bangin' Rackettes; Electric Empire; Chase The Sun; King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard and DJ Vince Peach.

Ahead of their second EP release, Fall In Time, we asked the Brisbane-based indie-folksters Charlie Mayfair to create a playlist featuring some of their favourite and most influential songs. Here's what they had to say about their selections:
1. Active Child - "Hanging On"
After 14 years away, Everclear have been announced to return to Australia later in the year for a national tour. With a career spawning hits including "Heroin Girl" and "Santa Monica", Everclear made a name for themselves from the early nineties as one of America's best live bands.
For the first time in their 22 year long career, Seattle drone-doom outfit Earth are finally coming over to Australia. Having grown out of of the Seattle grunge scene in 1990, Earth are known as being the pioneers of 'drone doom' - essentially a branch of doom metal, incorporating minimalist structures.
With his new record Out of the Game already garnering critical acclaim, Rufus Wainwright is bringing his brilliant self to Australia for a national tour. Taking in most of the capital cities, Wainwright returns with his full band and will be performing tracks off the Mark Ronson-produced record, as well as the songs his loving Australian fans have been waiting so long to hear again.
One of the country's most loved female singer-songwriters, Julia Stone, is going to be heading out on tour through September. To celebrate the release of her new album By The Horns, Stone will be playing a 12-date tour, taking in some amazing venues along the way. The tour will be coming off the back of a run of international dates for Stone; what a way to come home!
