What’s not to like about “Broken White Line”, the lead single off The Heart & The Crown by The Devil Rides Out?
The Perth outfit deliver the kind of booze soaked, floor pounding rock ’n’ roll that’s sure to leave your speakers sweating bourbon.
With bass-heavy stoner rock riffage channeling Queens of the Stone Age and Lemmy-esque vocals, the song is not radically original, yet it avoids sounding generic.
A guitar solo would have gone down a treat, but then again I say that about nearly every song ever created that doesn’t already have one. Really this is low down & dirty rock as it should be and proves just why The Devil Rides Out are a band to watch.
