Tigerair launches direct flights between Melbourne and Coffs Harbour

Tigerair recently announced a new schedule of flights direct between Melbourne and Coffs Harbour on the New South Wales north coast. The newly added service is providing three return flights per week.

Tigerair have said that this will offer a total of 56,000 seats annually between Melbourne and Coffs Harbour, and that they are now the only airline offering a mid-week direct flight between the two cites.

Tigerair Commercial Direct, Adam Rowe, said that the new flights are “estimated to provide significant economic value to the Coffs Harbour region of almost $8M a year… we are confident these new services will prove popular for Melburnians wanting to escape to a warmer and more temperate climate and also for Coffs residents wanting a break away or to visit friends and family down south.”

The mayor of Coffs Harbour Councillor, Denise Knight, is hope that the new flights will encourage plenty of new visitors to the region to explore the regions food, wine, warm client and beautiful coastline.
